In Class Prompt #2 My object ia a photo of my family. It was taken a day last summer, mid- July, the weather was hot and muggy. My now two year old son, Gabriel< was teething and very adjetated with just about everything. He still had that baby smell, the kind you can't get enough of. My oldest son, four years old now, Robert was running and playing in the grass that day. He smelled of daddy's cologne, because he always had to have some too. My husband, also Robert, was all smiles that day. The way he looks at me and the boys is just mezorizing, with his hazel eyes. Yopu can obviously tell he has a military background with the sternness in his voice to get the kids together and try and pose for pictures. As we were doing pictures the kids played with giggles and footsteps all around and my husband was playing and laughing with them off and on. I can still smell him, his combination of cologne (curve) and sweat is captivating to me. I love to look at the bright blue eyes of my children as they look at things, asif for the first time. Makes you wonder what they are thinking. The photo was taken in our backyard, we have three acers. The smell of the field next door so strong you can almost taste the dirt.
In Class Prompt #3 The beginning of the episode " How I Met Your Mother," was kind of weird and lead you to believe something that wasn't what you thought. Like the man who was most paranoid watching out his window at the other man. This other man always came outside took exactly the same amount of steps and smiled, every night 8pm sharp. Then the episode went on about how the three men had made a pact on watching the star wars trilogy every three years and they would talk about the future and what they would be doing in three years. Which never came true or happened the way they wanted. Neither of the two guy became rich and/or famous. The only similarity was the one guy who had the revolving door policy with the girls and one night stands, until the end where he has changed. In the end they were all pretty happy with what they have, even when the lost hope in their futures. And they shared an old tradition with new people, a new baby even though he had not gotten married. The guy going to the street very night was the one with the newly live in girlfriend who he realized he wanted to commit to deeply. He was going outside because he was afraid to fart in front of her. In the end he realized he could the guy watching in the window for the man who came out at 8pm every night, lost everything to his window watching obsession.
In Class Prompt #4 The hall was quiet until she heard a blood curddling scream and the lights went out. She stood there paralized in fear, feeling around in the pitch black to try and gain some barrings. Through the darkness she heard a faint 'hello?' It was another female voice, she did not recognize. As she stood there she slowly sank to the floor and started to crawl like an infant careful not to run into anything. Again she heard a 'hello?' and this time it was closer and she answered back. "Hello?" she said in a very unsure, tremoring voice, almost squeaky. Her hands and leags were shaky and her palms were starting to become clammy. Soon after her reply she heard a response. "where are you?" in a scared voice. And them another scream, "AAHHHH!" so shreaked and sudden.
"Hell...lloo?" she replied to the darkness in a more quite shaken voice. No answer. She began to panic in all her fears of what if were coming true.
In Class Prompt #5, First paragraph: Although this episode has it's ups and downs and can be a bit confusing when you haven't seen anyother episodes there should be parental advisory with this. This episode inculdes some content that my not be sutable for yopunger viewers. Some of this includes adult situations about cheating and affairs, along with people seeming to sleep around. It gets even darker twards then of the show when a young aspiering actress has bottle of pills and empties it out after being told, "She has something you don't." Even though the show is entertaining in it's own way, parents and gaurdians should think twice about taking younger viewers.
In class prompt#6 In the political seasons I absolutely avoide anything to do with any candidates. I think they are all chicken hawks and speak out thier butts. They rarely do anything they say they are and want to take money away from hardworking American people. Then when they decide to mess with the military and say they get paid to much for fighting for America's right I get super pissed off. The average infantry man with an e4 rank only makes $3200 per month only when they are deployed. And half that when they are state side. As Americans we need to restructure they way out political and governmental programs run. So, need less to say I don't like politicians or politics, they are professional liers. Just look at their salary for just having an opinion and sitting at a desk.
In Class Prompt #7 Key works; jacket, red riding hood, spegetti, Georgia Deep in the heart of Georgia, near the swamp hills there lived a young girl who always wore a jacket. No matter the weather, cloudy, raining, sleet, snow, or even sunshine would stop her. She wore an old long jacket that was red. Everyone in town knew her and knew she took the time to help others. So, with this the town always called her Red Riding Hood. Most of the time they'd see her walking back and fourth from her little old house to a small corner store, owned by her parents. One day as she was skipping through town she tripped over the curb and fell. This wouldn't have been so bad except she was carrying a large bowl of spegetti to her parents shop for lunch. It was all over everything, and the red stains were everywhere. They were on her nice long red jacket, her dirty blonde hair, and even on her shoes.
In Class Prompt #8 Victim: female 1.) Detective Age: 12 2.) Coroner How: shot 3.) Attorney (pros.)
1.) At 4 am my partner and I recived a call from the disbatch about a 187 at Wal-Mart. We arrived on scence at 4:20 am and met with officers on scene with the coroner who had already arrived. We learned a young pre-teen, cacasion, female had been brutally assaulted and shot exicution style in the womens handicap restroom stall. Blood spatter suggested she had been placed on her knees and shot twice in the back of the head after, she was apparently assulted, in which she fought back due to the cuts and brusies. Her clothes had been torn off her and she was possibly sexually assulted. By 5: 35 am they were taking the body to the cornors offfice for a full report. My partner and I started going throught the video survallence and saw what appeared to be three men in dark clothes with hoods on following the young lady around the store, until she disappeared into the womens bathroom at 2:47 am shortly followed by to men, and then the third aproxamently ten minutes later...........
2.) At aproxamently 5:52, Case #1167204 arrived. A young adolesant female. Age 12. Blonde hair, Blue eyes. Brusies and contusions to the arms, possible result of fighting back. Nails scraped for DNA. Rape Kit. Finger printed. Hair and clothing combed for evidence. The cadavers body is inspected head to toe. Large brusing to her left side, possible right handed assalant. 7:38 Print come back, Match. Sarah Vanmeter. Send off blood and toxicology.
3.) Two years later in the court room: Case #126743 State vs. Stan Fredricks and Marshall Peters. I motion for the death penalty your honor. Due to the facts of the case, these men have been possitively identified to been the men who entered the bathroom after Sarah Vanmeter and brutally assulting her beating her repeatidly. Both men taking turns sexually abusing this young inocent girl. Sarah was a young, free, fun loving, child who was malicously attacked and raped and was shot twice, exicution style, and for what? Durning the course of this investigation there were things that have been proven that were done to this young lady who did not desearve to die. This investigation shows that it was pre-meditated and a cold-blooded act of indeacent violence.
In class prompt #9 One day while walk in the mall with my husband we ran into his ex-girlfriend and she started to run up to him. All of the sudden she stops when she notices we are holding hands looking at baby stuff and go the most be wildered look on her face. "Hi" she says, with a questioning voice. "Hi Megan" , he repied "I'd liek you to meet my wife." "Oh, okay" Megan states. All the while I'm glaring and wondering when this will be over, or will it be over. Is she the type that will just keeep randomly showing up? Or the type she will show up at the door step? I have not reply to her, so as it gets more akward as they are trying to make small talk, I simply state "I'm hungery" "Ok, I bet, that baby is always making you hungery!" My husband says. We walk away with out any good byes and she knows from then on to stay away. She has never crossed my path again.
In Class Prompt #11 Early one morning a witch, santa clause, and the easter bunny break into a museum, unskillfully and with out and good purpose. They ran around and played tag, drew faces on pictures and danced with mummies. All were having a great time when a fight broke out and the witch started casting spells which miss her opponents and distroyed artifacts. The easter bunny was jumping all around to avoid any of the fire when santa called his reindeer. By the time they were through there were eggs, colors, candy canes and reindeer poop all over. What a mess they have created and the museum was about to open. "Oh, no" they cried and decided to work together to straighted up. The witch created a spell that cleaned the mess up, the easter bunny ran around direceting traffic, and at the end just as the doors were opening santa took them all up the chimeny. They all let out a big sigh of releif.
In Class Prompt #10 In my situation I don't need to take a horror film or scary story and make it my own. I have plenty of my own stories, due to the fact of where I grew up. I grew up in a two story house that was one block away from a cemetery that was established in the late 1700's. The house was also built in the late 1700's and was not remodeled. I lived in this house from the time I came home from hospital until I was eighteen years old and moved out. When i was about 7 years old my room was upstairs and my brother had moved out; thats when I noticed a lot more things happening than just things moving from one dresser to another, or even pictures moving on my wall. Our family pet, Sandy, always slept upstairs with me and some nights she woutld be growling out my door at the stairs. If you stopped and listened you could hear heavy footsteps up and down the stairs. One night, I remember some much detail, I awoke to see a blue irridesent woman in early 1800's style dress sitting at the edge of my bed. For whatever reason I wasn't scared, and the dog wasn't growling. She looked at me for a while and watched her. It was one of the most erie experiences I have ever had.
In class # 12 In these short films we watched in class on the computer, I gathered Social Evolution is cop, transform, and combine. Nothing is an original piece of work anymore. Everything has been duplicate in some way shape or form. To protect these intellectual ideas you get them copy written. Even then people may steal them, because copies are cheaper than the real thing. Five hundred billion dollars are lost to court battles. Maybe they should use them to pay the debt in this country. Everyone has stolen and idea, the thing is to make sure you cite where you got it. So, that way you cover your butt. Walt Disney stole ideas, but then when his work was up for grabs he wanted to extend the patient. Computer, and smart phones lead the pack in theft. And Steve Jobs even stated they take software crime others, but he will fight for his software. I'm not sure what else there is to write. This is what I got out of this.
In Class Prompt #13 Food Art is so gross. I don't know how they deal with the smell for one, and the nasty mess for two. If I had not watched the whole thing and him painting with barbique sauce and ribs, it was a pretty picture of a buck deer. Every time you thought he was done there was more and more details that were added. It was quite interesting. Made me want to wash my hands. It was a nice break in the citations though. Then there was the velvet cheetos thing with old elvis music. It was a cool picture after it was done. It got to the point I couldn't even watch it due to the mess, it makes me want to throw up and wash my hands over and over again. Why do people even do this? How to they save and preserve it? It would stink and rot, nasty.
In Class Prompt #14 My son broke up with his girlfriend last week and is heart broken. So we as parents decided to help him. We asked what the problem was and it sounds like they just had a disagreement. So we told him to write her a poem why he likes her so much and to get her flowers. He knew just what flowers to get. As far as a poem his father was good a writing them, so he can help him out. We gave him the money for the flowers and he set off to mend his broken relationship. Several hour later he returns, with a smile. He said thank you and gave us a hug. She took him back and loved the idea he was willing to do what was right to win her back. They were so happy from then on out we got to see a lot more of the both of them together.
I think that is awesome that you and your husband helped out your son with a break up. I think that you guys handled that very well and i think that is very sweet of him. Also that is awesome that your husband is good at writing poems and wrote a poem for her and bought her her favorite flower that is just awesome! Also it is always good to help out your kids when they are upset and down with a break up. So i am glad that they worked it out and that now he not upset anymore and happy again that is great!
In Class Prompt #15 What I have learned in English Composition 1110 is that I now know how to make a bettre outline and that I know more than I thought I did. What I really need to learn is that you will always have assignments that you do not want to do, like the blog, but it is better to work on it than not. I have enjoyed some parts of this class and others not so much. It has been a relitively bumpy ride and I have found that it is hard to blog on classmates blogs when not many of them are doing the assignment. I am glad to have gone through this experience, but glad it is almost over. I do not hate writting nearly as much as I thought I did and do ok at it. I like having an outline for my papers and time to do research and a strong outline for my paper it turns out better. This is my last blog and I am so glad this is over.
